David Cross

David Cross began his professional television career as a writer on The Ben Stiller Show where he first met Bob Odenkirk, with whom he co-created the cult classic HBO sketch comedy series Mr. Show with Bob and David. The scene stealing Cross later created the insanely funny Tobias Fünke in the critically acclaimed Fox series Arrested Development.

Cross continues to perform stand-up around the globe blending liberal-leaning political commentary and satire. In 1999 he was given his own one-hour comedy special on HBO. Dave’s latest classic character can be seen on Modern Family playing City Councilman Duane Bailey.
